Your Help is Needed in Africa!

The Horn of Africa: Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Kenya, and Ethiopia ?has been devastated by severe drought since the beginning of last year, with Somalia being the hardest hit. The United Nations estimates the number of people affected in the region at 12.4 million.

To raise desperately needed funds to help feed and care for starving children and their families through UNICEF, individuals and community groups across the Greater Toronto Area including CCC are committing to a 24-hour fast.

Sign up today! Fasting begins Thursday, September 15th at 8pm and will end Friday, September 16th at 8pm which will mark the opening to the celebration party.

You can also show your support and make a pledge. The Government is matching donations up until September 16th, so your efforts will be duplicated. Please visit this link http://unicef.ca/thefamineandtheblessing for more information.

For questions, please email thefamineandtheblessing@yahoo.ca or call Carson at 416.399.7863. Don't forget to check them out on Facebook at http://facebook.com/thefamineandtheblessing
