Toronto Youth Chapter (CCCYC) would like to congratulate our award
winners from the past Chinese Canadian Youth Achievement Awards.
Year in and year out, outstanding youth were chosen out of the many
applications by our honourable judges from the Chinese community
to recognize their accomplishments and talent.
Chinese New Year Celebrations at the Chinese Cultural
Centre of Greater Toronto, ROM, Toronto City Hall (2000 - Present)
CCCYC has taken part in CCC's Chinese New Year celebrations
and have displayed our creative contributions to educating and bringing
fun to all attendees. Look for our Wheel of Fortune and the Nian
display.
High School Volunteer Fair (2004-present)
The High School Volunteer Fair was initiated to
help all high school students in the GTA to attain their mandatory
volunteer hours as well as exposure to the many types of volunteer
opportunities and organizations out there. In the past, volunteer
organizations such as United Way of Greater Toronto, Toronto Public
Library, Heart & Stroke Foundation and more have attended the
fair. We continue to work with organizations by providing volunteer
opportunities with our members.
Chinese Canadian Youth Conference (2000-2005)
The Chinese Canadian Youth Conference has held workshops
and forums on youth topics ranging from careers to youth violence
to identity - Are you Chinese? Are you Canadian? The most recent
conference focused on transitioning from secondary to post-secondary
education. Speakers were brought in to discuss about academic transition,
social transition, and wellness (physical & mental). |
