2008 Chinese Canadian Youth Achievement Awards The Chinese Cultural Centre Youth Chapter (CCCYC) is dedicated to celebrating the outstanding talent and achievements of Chinese Canadian youth, and to encourage youth to strive to be role models in their communities through active participation. Awards Overview The Chinese Canadian Youth Achievement Awards recognizes successful youth who have excelled in various talents and contributions to the community. The Achievement Awards are awarded to individuals in four award categories chosen by a panel represented by active members of the community. The four categories of Awards are: Performance Arts Visual Arts Athletics Leadership & Community Service Three winners of each category will be awarded a plaque and a scholarship: Gold Award - $500 Silver Award - $300 Bronze Award - $200 Eligibility: 13 to 25 years old. Be of Chinese descent. A Canadian citizen or permanent resident in Ontario, Canada. Nominated by two adults over the age of 25. Nominators must not be immediate family members of the applicant.
