Take the Lead to Feed the Need

The mission of the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto Youth Chapter's (CCCYC) is to inspire the spirit of volunteerism and encourage youth in the Greater Toronto Area to be active members of their community. With the economic crisis, we believe the food banks need as much help as possible to assist struggling individuals and families. In partnership with the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCC), CCCYC would like to help raise awareness about issues of poverty and hunger among youth and contribute to the efforts of Daily Bread Food Bank with their mission of ending hunger in the community.

Very often in food drives, we only get to see a small piece of the entire picture. In view of making this food drive initiative more inspiring and comprehensive, we are planning a series of activities:
  • Kick-Off Ceremony
  • Youth Group Challenge
  • Education Workshops
  • Food Sorting Days
  • Recognition Ceremony
